I bought the bear trap with Ti axle for my Amflow PL Carbon EMTB and couldn't be happier. I have substantial BMX and Motocross background and I love the way my feet stay planted on these pedals yet not so stuck that you can't make subtle adjustments that are often needed as you approach a big hit or obstacle.
I've been on these pedals for over a month riding almost every single day including big sky Northstar and Mammoth Bike Parks as well as the New Haskell Canyon Bike Park plus my usual 15–20 mile daily loop around the Santa Monica mountains near Malibu and have yet to slip a pedal. I've had a bunch of pedal strikes and bent some of the screws/pins but they're easily replaced (extra screws came in the box) and the pedals themselves are holding up great. I'm 6 foot 220 pounds with size 12 shoe in these pedals fit my feet perfectly. Initially I was concerned that the inner bearing bump would interfere with the inside of my foot but they don't during actual use.
The reason I chose these pedals over others is because I've known Mark through his Corvette business AMT and his Corvette Parts have always been excellent so I knew the pedals would be excellent as well and I'm not disappointed. Highly recommended!
