Why we made these pedals
We engineered these pedals after trying countless sets of other pedals to know exactly what we want out of a pedal; better bearing lifetimes, a purposeful pin layout and built to take a beating. Bear Traps were designed to be serviced, not thrown away. Bearings, bushings, seals, pins and other wear components can be replaced at home with basic tools, keeping your pedals running season after season.

No hype! It is rare for me to provide a product review as most items I purchase fall short somewhere. That is not the case with these pedals and customer service. I say this after two separate days totaling about 45 miles. High speed single track, climbs and jump lines these pedals are amazingly good. I’m still trying to figure out how they can have so much grip yet allow you to change foot placement. If you like to send it out on the trails these are the pedals for you.

Love these pedals! Beautiful craftsmanship, really grippy and just the right size. So glad I gave these a try. I plan on buying another set for one of my other bikes. Thanks for doing a great job on designing these.
I bought the bear trap with Ti axle for my Amflow PL Carbon EMTB and couldn't be happier. I have substantial BMX and Motocross background and I love the way my feet stay planted on these pedals yet not so stuck that you can't make subtle adjustments that are often needed as you approach a big hit or obstacle.
I've been on these pedals for over a month riding almost every single day including big sky Northstar and Mammoth Bike Parks as well as the New Haskell Canyon Bike Park plus my usual 15–20 mile daily loop around the Santa Monica mountains near Malibu and have yet to slip a pedal. I've had a bunch of pedal strikes and bent some of the screws/pins but they're easily replaced (extra screws came in the box) and the pedals themselves are holding up great. I'm 6 foot 220 pounds with size 12 shoe in these pedals fit my feet perfectly. Initially I was concerned that the inner bearing bump would interfere with the inside of my foot but they don't during actual use.
The reason I chose these pedals over others is because I've known Mark through his Corvette business AMT and his Corvette Parts have always been excellent so I knew the pedals would be excellent as well and I'm not disappointed. Highly recommended!
